Stephen O’Malley of Mind & Psychology, B. Psychology (Arts); DipThMin: Cert Individual Therapy: Couples Work-Couples Chat (Annandale Institute) – Psychologist

I am a registered psychologist specialising in Relationship and Couples Therapy, helping partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen connection. I use evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Imago Relationship informed Therapy to guide couples through challenges. My aim is to create a safe space where both partners feel understood and supported in building a more resilient and fulfilling relationship.

Treatment Approach

In my couples work I use the Imago structure that helps partners engage and Couples chat that help each person slow down , listen deeply, and feel truly understood. We explore not only present conflicts, but also how early experiences shape relationship patterns today.
The sessions include creative and interactive exercises that bring warmth and even playfulness into reconnecting with your partner.
Through guided dialogue, partners learn to transform criticism into curiosity and defensiveness into understanding.
In integrating Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) we strengthen emotional bonds and rebuild trust.
The goal is for couples to leave with a stronger sense of safety, intimacy, and hapiness in their relationship.

When we can be emotionally present with one another, healing begins.
